PARIS
Thursday September 25, 2008- Sunday September 28, 2008
These are the Royal Gardens just outside of the Louvre Museum, the weather was relativley nice so there were many people hanging out outside, especially near the reflecting pools.
The Arc de Triomphe was magnificent, we happened to catch it while the sun was setting and there was some sort of war memorial going on with a band and military. This is Sacre Coeur, a beautiful church in the Montmarte district. It was quite a walk to the top but there were definatley some amazing views!
Notre Dame Cathedral. Mass was going on we were there but apparently you need to be a member of the church to actually partake. I lit a candle for my grandparents.AMSTERDAM
Sunday, September 28 2008- Tuesday, September 30 2008
This is the view from the street our hotel was on. The weather was pretty terrible while we were there I wasn't able to take a single picute on Tuesday because it was raining so hard!It made for great museum seeing though... we checked out the Van Gough, Amsterdam History, Reics, Houseboat, Dutch Resistance museums and also took a canal boat cruise while there!
One of the many houseboats on one of the many canals in Amsterdam.
